Painting has always been my connection between ideas and the real world; a middle ground.

Figuring out how to make a painting ‘work’ is my favorite puzzle to solve; an excuse to get lost in my

thoughts for awhile.

I hope my work provides a moment for the viewer to get lost for awhile, too.

Callie grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from Rhodes College (B.A. Political Science) &

studied painting and photography at Kentucky School of Art, San Francisco Art Institute, and

MarylandInstitute College of Art.

She is a curated artist for Hilton Hotels.

Callie currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama. Her studio is at Forstall Art Center.
